Female sexual dysfunction is extremely common but rarely discussed.

For women, a big part of our health is related to sex.  When our sexual health deteriorates or changes, we often hide it, embarrassed, and don’t reach out for the help we need.

After having babies, everything in our lives, including our bodies, is affected.  The vagina expands and morphs to birth the child, sometimes (nooooo!) there are episiotomies or tears, which result in scar tissue.  After birth, the tissue experiences  hormonal changes, and, oftentimes, things don’t spring back to their former state.  One major concern moms mention to me during their physicals, is urinary incontinence.  One cough, sneeze, belly laugh, or jumping jack and – wham!  Time to change our pants.

Wearing a panty liner or pad is not sexy, feminine, or sustainable for us.  We already deal with a new body, a new person, and a whole new lifestyle when we give birth, now this?!  Why do we put up with it?  I’ve had four children myself, so I know the struggle, and finally I can offer a solution that doesn’t include an operating room.

Vaginal rejuvenation for your sexual health!

There is also the matter of hormonal change. Seems like our hormones are shifting every decade, changing our sex life and bladder function simultaneously. With menopause, women often experience vaginal atrophy, or, for lack of a better term, shrinkage. Erogenous zones are not as sensitive. The tissue becomes dry and tightens, often too much, and sex becomes painful and difficult. We often begin to experience more urinary tract infections as the tissue shrinks.

Do we need to just accept this and deal with “the changes of womanhood” and put ourselves out to pasture? Your sexual health should not come last!

No!

Vaginal Rejuvenation! It works!

At Jane&Jayne, we offer diVa, which is a laser treatment for vaginal rejuvenation.  In 3-4 short office visits with little to no down time, and very little discomfort, we can restore your vaginal tissue and improve your sexual health. We can address all of the potential factors involved to help you feel like your best version of yourself!

The laser heats and stimulates the tissue, which then in turn heals and restores itself to improved function!  No more pain with intercourse, stress incontinence, dryness, laxity, or diminished erogenous zones! It works!

Don’t be afraid to talk about it- your sexual health is a part of your overall wellness!
